Just for Laughs

Just for Laughs

photo3The award winning Highcliffe Charity Players present their latest revue, Just For Laughs, an evening of music, dance and comedy. Audiences are invited to bring a picnic to enjoy in the supper interval and a bar is open for drinks.

Charity Players’ regular forays into revue are legendary and this fast moving, laughter-packed show once again features HCP’s well-loved formula of presenting songs from the shows alongside comic sketches that are just that little bit risqué!

The lively song and dance numbers are drawn from old favourites such as a catchy Motown medley (Baby I Need Your Lovin’, I’ll Be There) and an ABBA tribute (Mamma Mia, Thank You for the Music) to songs from the current musical film triumph The Greatest Showman.  The sketches, too, range from familiar well-loved skits to more risqué contemporary humour.

The revue is directed by HCP’s Pete Whitaker, assisted by Adam Venables, and choreographed by Angie Broomfield, who is working with the Players for the first time. The Musical Director is Stuart Darling.

Just for Laughs runs at St Mark’s Hall, Hinton Wood Avenue, Highcliffe BH23 5AA from Wednesday 25th to Saturday 28th July (7.30pm). Tickets are £12.50 from the Regent Centre Box Office (01202 499199) or via the Regent Centre website (www.regentcentre.co.uk) with profits going to local charities.
