Something’s Burning

Directed by Steve Watton, this delightful, wry comedyby Eric Chappell centres on Nell (Denise King), an attractive an intelligent woman who has been deserted by her husband and feels at the crossroads of her life. Her hopeless love affair with George Rush (David Wickham), a married local teacher and minor poet, seems bound to end in anger and frustration. George insists on conducting their romance in total secrecy until the arrival in Nell’s life of Jim Grant (Mick Wright) which causes the dying affair to erupt into flames. Also featuring Annie Robertson as Gail, Nell’s sister, and Carole Willison as Helen Rush.
